Day 6 of the countdown to the new KBD.

Today is about visibility.

Not being louder. Not being in more places. Being intentional.

Most businesses don’t struggle with effort. They struggle with direction. So they post, attend, sponsor, show up… and hope it adds up to something meaningful.

Here’s a common scenario.

You’re visible, technically. You’re at the event. You’re posting. Your logo is out there.

But when you try to trace any real outcome back to the effort, it’s fuzzy. A few likes. Some conversations. Nothing you can clearly point to.

That’s not a visibility problem. That’s a strategy problem.

The shift is to Think Differently about visibility and remember this: Be Where Your People Are, and show up in a way that makes sense for them.

Before you commit to being seen, make these six visibility decisions on purpose:

1. Where you show up
Choose platforms, events, or spaces your audience already trusts, not just the ones with the biggest numbers.

2. Why you’re showing up
Decide whether the goal is awareness, connection, credibility, or conversion (AKA sales). One focus at a time.

3. How you want to be perceived
Clear, helpful, strategic, bold? Visibility without intent creates mixed signals.

4. What you want people to remembered
People won’t remember everything. Pick one idea, message, or feeling you want to stick in their minds.

5. How people can engage with you
Make the next step obvious. A conversation, a follow-up, a follow, or a question.

6. When visibility becomes noise
If you can’t explain the purpose behind the action, it’s probably time to pause or adjust.

Day 6 isn’t about doing more.
It’s about showing up with clarity, on purpose.

Tomorrow, we move to 5.
The countdown continues.

Day 7 of the countdown to the new KBD.

Today is about alignment.

Specifically, being in the right room.

A lot of businesses show up everywhere they can. Every event. Every opportunity. Every “it couldn’t hurt.” And then they wonder why the effort feels heavy and the results feel thin.

Here’s the familiar story.

You’re at an event that looks right on paper. Good turnout. Busy room. Plenty of conversations. It should be a win, right?

But something’s off. The questions aren’t quite right. The interest feels polite instead of intentional. You leave tired, with a stack of contacts that don’t go anywhere.

That’s usually a location problem, not a performance problem.

The fix starts with a simple rule: Be Where Your People Are, not where you think you should be.

Before you commit your time, money, or energy, run these seven alignment checks:

1. Are the people here actively looking for what I offer, or just browsing?
2. Do they already understand the problem I solve, or would I need to educate from scratch?
3. Is this an environment where conversations can actually happen?
4. Do past events like this lead to real follow-up, not just connections?
5. Does my offer make sense in this context without heavy explanation?
6. Would my best clients feel comfortable and at home here?
And
7. Are these the people I am looking for?

If you can’t confidently answer most of these, it’s probably not the right room. And that’s okay, you just need to find the right room.

Day 7 isn’t about doing more.
It’s about choosing better.

Tomorrow, we move to 6.
The countdown continues.

Day 8 of the countdown to the new KBD.

Today is about messaging. Not marketing copy. Not taglines. Just the moment someone asks, “So, what do you do?”

Most people answer by explaining everything. Services, process, background, options. It feels helpful in the moment, but halfway through you can tell the other person is working hard to keep up.

They nod.
They say, “That’s interesting.”
And then the conversation drifts.

A cleaner way is to start with the problem, not the full picture.

Instead of listing what you offer, lead with something like: I help [this type of business] with [this specific problem] so they can [this outcome]. One sentence. Clear. Easy to grab onto.

If they’re curious, they’ll ask questions. If they’re not, you’ve still made yourself easy to understand without overexplaining, an no ones time was waisted.

Clear messaging isn’t about saying less because you know less.

It’s about giving people a simple entry point instead of asking them to do the work of figuring you out.

Day 8 is about being understood without trying harder.

Tomorrow, we move to 7.
The countdown continues.

Day 9 of the countdown to the new KBD.

Today is about friction.

Not the obvious kind. The quiet kind that makes capable people feel disorganized and busy for no good reason.

Here’s a familiar one.

You do an event, a launch, or a campaign. It goes fine. Some parts even go really well. Some points. not so much.

Afterwards you think, Next time we should arrive earlier, tighten the message, move that thing to the other side, follow up faster.

Then life happens.

The next event comes around and suddenly you’re asking the same questions again.

What worked last time?
What did we change?
Why does this feel harder than it should?

So you default to memory, gut instinct, and whatever feels urgent in the moment. Again.

That’s not a discipline problem.
That’s not a motivation problem.
That’s a missing system problem.

The fix: You already track things like ROI, KPI’s attendance and other metrics, you need to also track the less tangible data.

Create a simple “next time” record that goes in with all the other data and use it every single time.

After anything important, capture:
What worked and should stay
What didn’t and why
One specific change for next time

Now the most important part of the plan. Open it BEFORE you plan the next thing.

No new tools. No fancy software. No overthinking.

Day 9 isn’t about adding more to your plate.
It’s about stopping the constant restart.

Tomorrow we move to 8.
The countdown continues.

Today officially kicks off the 10-day countdown to the new KBD.

We’re starting with the small stuff.

The tiny, easy-to-miss decisions that don’t feel like a big deal in the moment… but quietly add up over time.

These are the micro mistakes I see all the time.

At events. In business. In strategy conversations that start with “something feels off.”

None of these will sink you on their own.
But stack a few together, and suddenly things feel harder than they need to be.

Over the next 10 days, the ideas will get bigger, the shifts will get bolder, and the picture will get clearer.

Let the countdown continue.

I’m thrilled to announce… the new KBD is almost here.

Tomorrow kicks off a 10-day countdown, and over the next week and a half, I’ll be dropping hints, insights, and little sparks of what’s coming. Think of it as a backstage pass to the next chapter— just a peek.

This isn’t a rebrand for the sake of change.

It’s sharper. Smarter. May I say Sassier.

More in tune with how things actually get done. And if you’ve ever felt like there’s a better, faster, or just plain more satisfying way to tackle projects, events, or tricky business puzzles… you might want to pay attention.

I won’t tell you exactly what’s coming, who it’s for, or how it works. That’s part of the fun. Instead, you’ll get a few hints, ideas, and maybe a few “aha” moments that’ll make you Think Differently.

The countdown starts tomorrow. Consider this your official heads-up: things are about to get interesting.

Trying to sell to everyone means you’re selling to no one! 🚫

The key to success? Knowing exactly who your customers are.

Ask yourself:
✔️ Who are they? (Age, interests, location)
✔️ What challenges do they face?
✔️ How can your product or service solve their problem?

When you understand your audience, you can speak their language, meet their needs, and win their trust.
