Tampon Tuesday YYC Because menstrual products are not a luxury, they are a basic human need. Period!

At TamponTuesdayYYC, we are working to end period poverty by collecting & donating menstrual products to local food banks, shelters and community organizations.

Columbus, Ohio, has become the first U.S. city to provide free menstrual products across all its major sports venues. 💗

The initiative now includes 165 dispensers across seven venues, providing free pads and tampons to fans and visitors.

The venues include Ohio Stadium, Nationwide Arena and Huntington Park, home of the Columbus Clippers. The initiative aims to make essential period products accessible without cost or embarrassment.

Period products are necessities, not luxuries. Every woman and girl deserves access to them when she needs them.

We’re proud to share that the Calgary Food Bank has been named a Charity Intelligence Canada Top 100 Charity for 2026 and has earned a 5-Star Rating. ⭐️

While we're grateful for this recognition, what matters most is the impact it represents: families with food on the table, children starting the day nourished, and neighbours knowing they are not facing challenging times alone.

This honour is only possible because of the incredible generosity of our community. To every donor, volunteer, partner, advocate, and supporter, thank you for helping us provide hope, dignity, and nourishment to thousands of people each week.

Together, we are building a stronger, more caring community where everyone has access to the food they need. Thank you for making this work possible!

Melinda French Gates has announced $215 million in new funding for women’s health worldwide through Pivotal.
The funding will support areas that have historically been overlooked, including:
💊 Access to contraception
🤰 Maternal and primary healthcare
🧠 Mental-health support for mothers
🌸 Menopause and midlife health
🔬 Research and improved healthcare for women
Among the announced grants are $40 million to Co-Impact to integrate mental-health care into maternal and primary healthcare systems, particularly in Africa, and $10 million to The Menopause Society to expand menopause education and access to care in the U.S.
This latest commitment brings French Gates’ philanthropic funding for women’s health to more than $600 million over the past two years.
Women make up half the world — but women’s health has been historically underfunded and under-researched.
This is an investment in changing that. 💗
