Anyone who knows me well would know I kindly passed on that advice. Success has nothing to do with the colours you choose to wear, and the same applies when it comes to attracting your match.

Genuine belief in a client’s search is vital; you can’t take them on just to close a sale. Your passion and belief in their potential for love are what drives the success of the journey.

Work ethic is the obvious quality that is important. However, I believe experiencing some form of loss in your own life truly shapes perspective. Going through that makes you softer and more open as a person in general, allowing for a deeper understanding of others’ journeys.

Let’s get into some real talk on matchmaking. I want to dive into some valuable lessons and mindset shifts I’ve experienced starting out on my own in this industry for the first time.

The most important takeaway? Just don’t give up. A “no” is not the end; it’s just a starting point. You might hear 500 “no’s” before you finally get a “yes,” but that “yes” will feel ten times more valuable when it comes!

I’ve found it helpful to continually push my “goal” goalposts. As soon as I reach a goal, I readjust and aim higher.

Most importantly, aligning myself with the right people has been crucial, both clients and colleagues. Having a circle of like-minded, positive individuals that you admire is invaluable; you truly can’t put a price tag on it. 🤍
