I learned something the hard way: You can't scale what you don't understand.

Early in my career, I was so focused on getting clients that I didn't invest time in documenting my processes. My team was doing things differently. Clients weren't getting consistent service. And I was working 60-hour weeks trying to keep it all together.

One day, my best team member told me she was leaving because the work felt chaotic. That was my wake-up call.

I stopped taking new clients for three months. Instead, I built SOPs. I created systems. I trained my team properly. And you know what? When I reopened, I was more selective, more efficient, and my team was actually happy.

Now, we have a 100% client retention rate. My team knows exactly what they're doing. And I actually have weekends.

The lesson: Systems aren't a luxury—they're the foundation of a sustainable business. You can't build something great on chaos.
