We hope that you have had the opportunity to see our billboard in town as well as read our story, in last week's Strathmore Times regarding our **NEW** Adult Day Support Program for Seniors that is opening this month!
We know that there are several new companies popping up in the area pertaining to Homecare supports.
What makes Generations Of Fun! unique and what services do we provide? What are our qualifications?
At Generations of Fun, we do more than provide care. We focus on holistic well-being—enriching the physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and spiritual lives of those we serve. Our recreation therapy program is all about creating a vibrant, multigenerational community where everyone can thrive together! Does you loved one require an in home exercise program to help increase their range of motion/ mobility in the home as well as outside? help them prepare for surgery/ follow up following surgery/ post physio care? Maintaining independence?
Are you or your loved one at risk of isolation/ depression?
Recreation Therapists graduate from a Community Services/ Therapeutic Recreation Degree Program (or related program) and belong to the Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association. Within our membership we must participate in ongoing education opportunities. Generations of Fun! is continually learning about new discoveries and training in dealing with individuals living with Dementia and behaviors associated with this disease, in Hospice care, adaptations in Physical Fitness programs, Art Programs, Caregiver Support etc.
1) we are local, born and raised in a farming community- we can relate to your lifestyle and engage in meaningful conversations with you and your loved one!
2) we are reliable and show up, for every visit scheduled
3) we are a small company, with little to no turnover of staff- offering consistency with programming and client goals, communicating changes that are noted in clients functioning/ beahviors (positive or negatively) to family as soon as possible
4) you get the same staff member(s) with you each visit- relationship feels like family over time
5) The Recreation Therapist meets with families in person to assess needs and conducts the programming personally- this is personalized/ individualized programming
6) We take the time to get to know your loved ones personally, we engage in conversation and activities with them. Our programs and activities are not rushed.
7) Our prices are the same or less than other companies and our staff are highly trained, with years of experience
You and your loved one are not a number.......you are a humans!
As the Day Program opens we will still continue to offer our 1:1 services which include options of outings as well.
The Day Program will be staffed with at least two equally compassionate and trained staff as well as a Recreation Therapist, over seeing the program.
