I work at a non-profit supporting kids and adults on the Autism Spectrum, which is incredibly rewarding, but unfortunately, the pay doesn’t match those rewards. So, I started taking on side hustles—private respite care for clients in the evenings and weekends, editing for a weekly podcast, and offering ski and snowboard wax, repair, and tuning services during the winter months. It helped, but it wasn’t nearly enough, and I was burning myself out. We were living on borrowed time, money, and credit. It felt like there was no way I could keep this up much longer. I battled with stress, anxiety, and depression over it. I’m in my forties now, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was running out of time to turn my finances around. Then one day, I clicked on an ad that lead me back to the business I wish I started years ago. After clicking on that ad and resuming this journey, it caused me to dream again: How great would it be to immerse yourself in your favourite sports, hobbies, adventures, and time with loved ones, all while still seeing your business thrive in the background? Fast forward to today, and with the help of advanced tools and automation in my digital business, I finally believe that the work-life balance, and peace of mind I’ve been dreaming of is achievable—even for me.
