If the current job market or a few interview rejections lately, are making you feel like you're not good enough,
I want you to stay with me for a second.
In just a few years of my career journey in Canada, I went from being ⬇️
• Shy → less awkward in professional spaces
• Laid-back → taking initiatives even if I'm anxious
• Always buried in books → well… I still love books
• Avoiding people → co-hosting 3 HUGE in-person business networking events in a year
• A complete beginner in ANY job market → landing my dream role in-person with NO prior relevant experience
Looking back, it almost feels like I manifested it. 🫠
But when I was actually going through it…
it definitely didn’t feel that way.
There was a lot of trial and error.
👉🏻A lot of moments I could've given up.
👉🏻Some wins that didn't feel like wins at the time.
👉🏻Some struggles I couldn't share with anyone.
👉🏻A few very questionable decisions.
👉🏻A handful of small acts of courage that changed everything.
Sometimes I genuinely pause and think:
HOW did I even come THIS far?
So while reflecting on my journey,
I wrote down 30 lessons I learned along the way.
And I thought…
Why not share them with you?
Because if my experiences can help someone navigate the Canadian job market with a little more clarity, confidence, or direction…
then maybe my mess can become your win. 🫶🏻
🤎 Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing these lessons with you !
🤎 Follow along to learn from my journey & share with a jobseeker who might need a little nudge to keep going!
Stay tuned ✨
