EXCITING NEWS FROM FRANCHISEFUEL: A NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH OHC RENOVATIONS
I’m very pleased to share that FranchiseFuel Consultants has officially partnered with OHC Renovations to identify and connect with qualified individuals interested in exploring franchise ownership opportunities across Canada.
What first caught my attention about this model was a question I often hear:
“I’m not a contractor and I don’t know how to renovate a home. How could I possibly own a renovation business?”
The answer is: You don’t necessarily need to be the one holding the hammer. 😊
In the OHC model, the franchise owner’s role is focused on sales, client relationships, estimating, managing subcontractors, overseeing projects, leading the team, and growing the business.
In simple terms:
You are building a renovation company, not becoming a renovation contractor yourself.
OHC operates as an executive-style business model that can start from a home office and scale as the business grows.
Here are a few key points for prospective investors to consider:
🔹 Estimated total investment: $99,300
This includes a $50,000 franchise fee, $5,000 for training, approximately $9,300 for the initial home-based business setup, and $35,000 in operating and marketing capital for the first six months.
🔹 Up to 90% financing support may be available to qualified candidates
Of course, financing depends on the individual applicant and approval by the lender. It is not automatically guaranteed.
🔹 Protected exclusive territories
Each territory is designed around a minimum population of approximately 250,000 and is further evaluated based on local market characteristics.
🔹 No construction experience required
Potential candidates may come from backgrounds in management, sales, project management, customer service, or team leadership.
🔹 Training, systems, and ongoing support
The model includes support in areas such as sales, project management, CRM systems, SOPs, estimating, supplier relationships, subcontractor management, and ongoing coaching.
One area many investors will naturally want to understand is the revenue potential.
According to information provided by OHC, its Ottawa operation recorded approximately $343,000 in revenue in 2022 and $543,900 in 2023. OHC’s franchise materials also present an estimated $500,000+ in revenue for the home-based model.
These figures are based on information and estimates provided by the franchisor and should not be interpreted as a guarantee that a new franchisee will achieve the same results.
OHC Renovations has also been recognized as a finalist in the EF100 Top 100 Franchises Canada 2026.
As I always say:
A good franchise is not necessarily the right franchise for you.
Every opportunity should be considered based on your experience, financial capacity, management and sales skills, level of involvement, and long-term goals.
My role, together with the FranchiseFuel team, is to help prospective investors understand the business model, evaluate whether there may be a good fit, and connect with the franchisor to continue the formal discovery process.
If you are considering business ownership in Canada and are interested in the home renovation industry—but don’t want to build everything from scratch—feel free to message me directly or comment “OHC.”
I’ll be happy to share more information and help you explore the most important question:
“Is this the right business for me?”
