Posted • The Bank of Canada kept its interest rate at 2.75% on Wednesday, ending a streak of seven straight cuts.

The move, which markets were split on, comes after weaker inflation data and ongoing global uncertainty from President Trump’s trade war.

The Bank pointed to signs the Canadian economy is slowing, saying consumer spending, housing, and business investment all fell in the first quarter.

They also noted job losses in March, slower hiring plans from businesses, and more modest wage growth.

Thoughts? Good or bad move?
