What happens to polyethylene foam packaging offcuts after production?

For some, they end up in the bin.

For us, it's where recycling begins.

Our foam densifier compresses bulky polyethylene foam offcuts into dense blocks, reducing waste and making them easy to recycle into usable black polyethylene foam sheets, which we can then use in custom foam inserts.

🚀 63,497 feet. A new world record. And a super proud sponsor!

We’re thrilled to sponsor the University of Waterloo’s Waterloo Rocketry team, who just broke the world record for the highest amateur liquid rocket.

Earlier this week, the team launched their rocket, ‘Polaris,’ to an altitude of a whopping 63,497 feet - beating the previous world record by nearly 7,000 feet.

It’s another milestone for the team, who were also behind the first Canadian liquid bi-propellant rocket to launch in 2024.

Here’s an industrial packaging fact to ponder: the most expensive part of it might be the empty space inside.

Why? Because every extra centimetre can mean:

• More void fill to cost out
• More void fill waste = (possible) higher environmental impact
• Higher dimensional and weight shipping charges
• Increased component movement during transport - meaning more risk of costly damage
• More storage space - meaning further cost - required at the package’s destination
• For customers, receiving a small product in a package with lots of wasted space can give a negative impression of your product/brand

That's why, for this project with our client, leading luxury washroom manufacturer, Ardec Group, we designed one custom crate to transport four oversized architectural pieces.

Our custom solution resulted in:
