A REMINDER - for your listings to be "Active" you have to:

1. Indicate your price per hour (or per event) 💲
2. Update your calendar availability 📆
3. Connect to Stripe so that people can pay you! 💸

Once this is done, you can instantly receive bookings and start making money :)

Do you know any young people looking to make money this summer? Connect MyTown is a great option 💰 ☀️

I was recently asked about minimum age to create a listing on our App/Website. The quick answer is 14 (based on min age to work in Ontario) BUT.... if you are under the age of 18, a legal guardian must assume the role of owner of your Stripe account before funds can be transferred into your bank account. Stripe is the payment platform we use for service providers to get paid.

I wanted to make sure to share this answer because we have a lot of incredible young people in our community looking to offer services such as babysitting, tutoring, pet care etc and its a great way to get money in your pocket and support your community! But of course with guardian oversight 🙂

We are looking for people who can offer home assistance (inside or outside) for jobs that include: mowing lawns, watering plants while someone is away, putting our garbage/recycling etc ❤

If you create your listing in our App/Website, you could easily list for $20-$30/hr (but the price is up to you). Indicate the service you can offer, update your availability, and connect to Stripe to get paid.

A reminder that there are lots of locals looking to pay you for: errands, home assistance (water plants when owners away for example), yard cleanup, house cleaning, dump runs, and babysitting! Tell your friends!

And a reminder that in order for your listing to be active you need to: update your calendar availability in the App (so that people know when they can book you) and connect to Stripe so that you get paid directly after a booking! :) 👏

How does it work if its free to sign up and free to create listings you ask?
Easy!
When a users books and pays for a service, the money is held by Stripe. After the booked service has been provided (service date/time has passed), the funds are transferred directly to the service provider via Stripe with a small portion going back to the App to keep it running. Thats it! :)
Its a great way to earn money for your skills/services each week!
