This is such an exciting milestone for PEI! ❤️ Our province's Mental Health and Addictions Redevelopment project has been named a finalist at the European Healthcare Design Conference.

From the new wellness and transition center to the acute care facilities replacing Hillsborough Hospital, these much needed spaces are being built from the ground up to support real healing and recovery.
Seeing PEI recognized on a world stage for prioritizing mental health care is amazing. Big thanks to everyone working hard to bring this to life!

The Mental Health and Addictions Redevelopment project in PEI is receiving international recognition for its design and approach to care.

The project has been invited to present at the European Healthcare Design Conference — one of the largest healthcare design conferences in the world. It has also been named as one of four finalists in the conference’s “Future Healthcare Design” category, which highlights projects that are still under development.

910 women are currently working in the construction industry on Prince Edward Island. From trades and engineering to project coordination and safety, women are contributing to every part of the sector.

While women make up just 13% of the national construction workforce, PEI is working to grow that number by supporting training, mentorship, and recruitment across the province.

The Construction Association of Prince Edward Island is committed to promoting inclusive opportunities in the skilled trades and highlighting the important role women play in building our communities.
