It Takes a Village | Night Nurse NL provides private, one-on-one overnight LPN care for families across the Avalon Peninsula, with services tailored to the person and the reason care is needed.

Care may include postpartum and newborn support, overnight care for children and youth, neurodivergent and higher-support needs, caregiver respite, dementia and memory care, post-operative recovery, chronic illness support, palliative presence, overnight safety monitoring, toileting and personal care, and reassurance for individuals who simply should not be alone overnight.

My overnight model is awake care. I remain present and attentive throughout the night so families can actually rest knowing someone qualified is there.

Every family and every situation is different, so care is planned individually within my LPN scope of practice.

With the first three months of 2027 now filled, I am currently accepting bookings for April 2027.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, I remain awake for the duration of every overnight shift, providing individualized newborn care while supporting your recovery and helping your family adjust to life with your new baby.

Overnight support is tailored to your family’s needs and may include newborn feeding, diapering, settling, bringing your baby to you for breastfeeding, pump support, newborn monitoring, safe sleep practices, light baby-related tasks, and postpartum support and education within LPN scope.

I am so excited to officially announce that I am now accepting clients for labour and birth support through It Takes a Village | Night Nurse NL.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, I provide continuous, one-to-one support that begins during pregnancy, stays with you throughout labour and birth, and can continue into the postpartum period. My goal is to help you feel informed, supported, and confident every step of the way.

Together we can:

* Attend prenatal and birth planning appointments.
* Help create or review your birth preferences.
* Prepare you and your birth partner for what to expect.
* Explain medical terminology, common procedures, and your options in a way that makes sense.
* Talk through previous birth experiences, fears, questions, and goals.
* Provide education, reassurance, and evidence-informed support as you prepare to welcome your baby.

When labour begins, my focus is entirely on you and your family.

I provide:

Your physician, midwife, and hospital nurses remain responsible for your medical care and the safe delivery of your baby. My role is not to replace your healthcare team, but to complement them by providing dedicated, continuous support focused entirely on you and your family’s experience.
