Have you winterized your fire sprinkler system?
Prior to the weather growing colder, it’s important to winterize your fire sprinkler system to prevent system failure.
With freezing temperatures, the water in your sprinkler system could freeze, your pipes could burst, or both. In any of these cases, your fire sprinkler system would be inoperable in an emergency.

We recommend scheduling an inspection to ensure your system works as it should and follow up with winterization maintenance in the fall before the first frost.

Being on Vancouver Island we have a temperate climate compared with the rest of Canada. Regardless of our typical climate, it’s still critical to perform this maintenance as even one day below freezing can cause damage.

Steps To Winterize Your Sprinkler System:
Dry sprinkler systems should be drained of ALL water/condensation before the weather reaches freezing temperatures.

Any space protected by a wet sprinkler system should always be kept above freezing with pipes properly insulated (unless an antifreeze system). Unoccupied spaces should maintain heating to avoid sprinkler breaks, which can cause water damage.
