Everyone deserves equal pay for equal work. Yet in 2023, women in BC still earned less than men. The pay gap is even wider for women and gender-diverse people who are Indigenous, racialized, newcomers, disabled and 2SLGBTQIA+. To help address this, companies must share their gender-pay gaps, starting with employers of 1,000 or more workers.

As of last year, all BC employers must also include salary or wage information on all publicly posted jobs and it's starting to make a difference. Job postings with pay details on Indeed have risen to 76% in BC – compared to 49% across Canada. We'll keep working with and supporting employers to ensure more job listings include the salary and wage information. Learn more: gov.bc.ca/PayTransparency

We are excited to invite 2024 MSF applicants to a virtual interview preparation workshop on June 23, 2024, at 1:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada). Mark your calendars 🗓️!

This session will provide invaluable tips and insights on the interview process and what you can expect.

MSF judges are currently in the process of marking your applications. The virtual interviews are planned to be conducted during the week of July 15, 2024. Please expect to hear if you proceed to the interview stage closer to this date. You will not be informed prior to the interview workshop taking place next week.

Still, we strongly encourage all MSF applicants to attend the interview workshop. It is a fantastic opportunity to prepare for the possible next steps with us and also may be of benefit to you in other interviews to come ! ⚡
