This one felt like building a brand around a feeling.✨

From the very beginning, was so clear on what mattered most to her: creating an experience that feels easy, joyful, and genuinely fun for the people she works with. And when you hear her story (especially her own experience as a bride) it all clicks into place. She’s not just showing up as a photographer, she’s showing up as a guide, a calm presence, and your biggest hype woman all in one.

Her work reflects that beautifully. It’s emotional, nostalgic, a little bit vintage, and rooted in the in-between moments that often matter the most.

Our goal with this brand was to capture that balance — something that felt classic and timeless, but still full of personality. We leaned into a softer, vintage-inspired direction to mirror her love of film and storytelling, while ensuring the overall brand experience still feels elevated, professional, and seamless from start to finish.

Because behind the bubbly energy and creativity is someone who deeply values her clients’ trust, and is building a business designed to support them at the highest level.

This wasn’t just about creating something beautiful (although it is that). It was about building a brand that reflects the feeling of working with Alex: warm, supportive, fun, and unforgettable.

Alex. Thank you for putting your trust in me, to build out your brand strategy, and create a visual brand that we are both so obsessed with. I fell in love with your work first, and then who you are as a person. Those who choose to work with you are in such good hands.

Cheers to you! 🥂

Posting on social media isn’t a marketing strategy.

If your growth depends on posting more, showing up more, and hoping something lands… no wonder it feels heavy.

You don’t need more content.

You need a brand and strategy that actually support your business.

Luckily for you, that’s exactly what I do.

✨ Branding for service pros who’ve outgrown DIY

Here’s how you know you’ve finally outgrown DIY…👏🏻

Your business has grown to the point where winging it, piecing things together, and trying to do every part yourself just doesn’t work like it used to.

Your brand feels a little disconnected.
Your messaging feels harder than it should.
Your marketing is inconsistent — not because you don’t care, but because your business is bussinessing and your brain is already carrying a million things.

This is the point at which support starts making a whole lot of sense. 😅

When I say I offer strategy + support, I mean I help service pros get out of the messy middle and into a brand that actually supports their growth.

This often looks like:
✨ getting clear on your positioning
✨ refining what you want to say and how to say it
✨ building a visual brand that reflects the level of your work
✨ creating a website that does some leg work for your business
✨ and most importantly: taking pieces off your plate so you’re not doing it all alone

You do not need to keep reinventing the wheel.
And you definitely do not need to keep DIYing your way through every next step.

You’ve done the hard part of building your business. Now it might be time for a brand that matches it. 🥳

If that’s where you’re at, send me a message or head to the 🔗 in my bio, and book a free consult call.

I’ve known Tania for years, and getting to bring her brand to life like this was truly a full-circle moment. 👏🏻

Not only do I admire her as a person, but I’ve also experienced her work firsthand as a client, which gave me such a unique lens going into this project. I know how value-packed her offers are. I know the depth of support she brings, the clarity she creates, and the way she meets her clients as true partners in their growth. So translating that into a brand that actually reflects her magic? That part felt easy.

Like many entrepreneurs, Tania had DIY’d her brand for a long time. It worked, until it didn’t. She was ready for something that matched the level she was operating at.

And while it would’ve been easy to stay in what felt safe and familiar, this is where the ✨magic✨ happened. With a few gentle nudges, she chose to go bold. A colour palette that pushes her out of her comfort zone, but captures her energy perfectly: no-BS, honest, impactful, and efficient. The kind of presence you feel.

From there, we built out a strategic website designed to guide her ideal clients through a clear, intentional journey — one that communicates her value at every step, builds trust, and ultimately makes saying yes to working with her feel like a no-brainer.

We also carried that brand across key touchpoints: business cards, thank you notes, and more, so every interaction feels cohesive, elevated, and unmistakably her. 🤩

This project is such a reminder that when your brand truly reflects the depth of your work, everything clicks into place.

I am so proud of this one, and have loved watching truly embrace her revived brand. 🥹

I am so overdue in sharing this project — Elisa’s brand strategy and design!

If you have had the pleasure of speaking with, or listening to .selfassuredwoman, then you know how incredible she is, and the work that she does. 👏🏻

Elisa’s mission is simple — empower more women to find their voice, and use it to advocate for themselves. She believes in the power of speaking up, with purpose and confidence.

From 1:1 mentoring, corporate workshops and trainings, to keynote speaking and working with women’s advocacy groups, Elisa works so hard to ensure that more women know that what they have to say matters, and helps them to speak up. 📣

Knowing that the purpose of her brand is to embolden others, Elisa didn’t shy away from a bright, eye-cash going colour palette and a logo suite that lets her be remembered.

Working in this project was so much fun, knowing Elisa trusted my creative vision. I frequently use it as an example to others about how worthwhile it is to against the drain of your industry, and stand out in a crowd.

Elisa, thank you for choosing me to bring your vision to life. Watching you grow your business, and seeing it reach more and more women with your message has been such a pleasure. 🫶🏻

Keeping speaking up, keeping teaching. 🤩

It’s 5pm on December 19th. I’m still sitting at my desk, with things I have yet to cross off staring at me from my to-do list.

One by one, my feed is filling up with people signing off for the year. I’m not quite there yet.

A few more hours of work snuck in between now and Christmas Eve, then it’ll be my turn too.

But as I am sitting here, I can’t help but think about what a year this has been, and one I am almost sad to see the back of.

I went back to MacEwan in January to finish my degree. I was skeptical to go back, but it ended up being the best thing for me. Those 4 months flew by so quickly.

I graduated in June. Got the all-important piece of paper. After 6 arduous years of working towards my degree, graduating felt more like a beginning than the end.

And then there was my business.

This was my first year, in 5 years, where I got to work full-time, which is what I have been working towards this whole time.

I finally had my website updated, with gorgeous new photos, and copy that finally felt like me.

I hired a VA when the projects were booming, and I needed the support on. I also got my blog up and running.

And when my brain felt busy, I met with my business coach to talk things through and create game plans for what was next.

This was the first year in business where things finally started to click for me. Where all of the hard work of the previous 4 years began to show, and when my confidence felt like it could shine.

I often see posts about overnight success stories, and what we fail to celebrate are the slow and steady winners. The people who keep showing up for their business when the posts don’t go viral, or the finances aren’t off the charts.

But it’s that steady growth that stands the test of time, and one day, without even realizing it, you’ll still be sitting at your desk, on the Friday night before everyone breaks for the holidays, and all you’ll feel is gratitude that this is your life now, and that you’ve made it work.

You won’t mind that you’re not closing your laptop yet, because you know there’ll be a time, in the not-so-distant future, where this was just a chapter in your story.

Merry Christmas, everyone. ❤️

We’re just 6 weeks away from 2026…which can feel a bit daunting when you work for yourself. Getting everything finished up and in order is a lot to do when you’re a one (or few) woman show. 😅

So here are 5 reminders we probably all need to hear as we start wrapping things up.

And I’m sure there are many more that could be added to this list, so please share your two cents in the comments too.

Take a deep breath — we’ve got this! 👏🏻

In one of our first strategy meetings Priscilla mentioned how much a person prepares themselves for running a marathon. How they alter their diet, follow a strict training schedule, and rest and recharge their body, all in hopes of running a good race. 🏃🏻‍♀️

Yet, when a couple is getting ready for an IUI or IVF procedure, why aren’t they taught the same meticulous preparation?

After separately working with dozens of women struggling with fertility, and seeing common patterns between their clientele, Stacey and Priscilla got together to build out a solution that betters the odds for the couples they support. 🥹

Prep & Bloom is a guided preparation program for people getting ready to receive IUI or IVF treatment, using a combination of holistic and functional medicine practices.

This program has been crafted with each couple in mind.

It is warm, personable, and encouraging. 🫶🏻

There is no one-size fits all approach. No brushing off of persistent or hard to deal with symptoms.

It is 100% customized to you.

So when we were developing a brand strategy and visual identity for the program, I knew how important it was to communicate the gentle softness a person was going to feel. We landed on a muted colour palette, with hopeful shades of green and yellow, to signify optimism. 🌿

When forming the launch marketing strategy we focused extensively on education and encouragement. Stacey & Priscilla were clear in their desire to connect with people and provide them with hope. It was important to them that we informed, without causing worry or resentment.

I work with a lot of really cool women, but this project had my heart. I will forever stand with women who are doing their very best to educate and improve the lives of others, in a kind and gentle way.

& you are doing phenomenal things, and I will forever be in your corner. Keep helping. 💛

To logo, or not to logo, that is the question. 🧐

You might think as a brand designer that I would be team logo, but I’m actually not.

Our profile pictures on social media (or emails etc.) do so much to set the tone and create a first impression with new people. They are what our audience most often associate with our name or business — they draw people in, or turn them away.

But most importantly, they’re a huge indicator of our business model, and allow a new face to understand what they can expect from our business.

Using a logo as your profile picture tells the world that there is a team on the other side of this interaction, and you might work with any one of us. We all have equal standing in the business, and are ready to serve you.

Whereas a photo says “hi, it’s me on the other side of the keyboard” and lets your audience know that they will be interacting with YOU. You may have a team, but chances are the client isn’t working with them in a direct way, so it’s important to show up as yourself, because that’s who they are expecting.

Is there nuance to this? Yes. As you scale your personal brand, you may have assistants or other team members that do outreach etc., but for your micro or small business, likely this guideline will stand to you.

Get your face out there, service pro, and let people start building up their trust in you! 🥳

This has been a year of growth. Of making things happen. A year of a-ha moments. And some “oh sh*t” moments too.

This has been the year of discovery, upgrades and nitty-gritty refinement.

This has been the most important year in my business journey, so far.

And in October 2025, just a couple of weeks from now, everything I’ve been working on will be ready for your eyes too.

Who’s excited? I know I am 😅🥳
