The Simple Portrait came out of a realization that I want to simplify the way I photograph people. Sure, props and cool locations are fun, but what really makes a beautiful photograph? The people in it, and the essence of who they were at the time that photograph was taken. Pair that with the fact that I now have a two-year-old who seems to grow and change everyday, and a two-hour session is just WAY too long for him! Does this resonate with you?
