Hustle culture didn’t make me successful.
For a long time, I thought I was the problem. I thought that if I just worked harder and longer, managed my time better, and kept pushing through, I’d eventually get on top of it all.
Spoiler alert — I didn’t.
I pushed until my body and mind had nothing left to give, and I was forced to take a step back.
It didn’t take long for me to realize that this was a common problem. The first client EVA supported was regularly logging 14+ hour days, seven days a week, and barely seeing his family… even though he was working from his home office. He wasn’t lazy or inefficient — far from it. He was just trying to do too much by himself.
Here’s what I’ve learned:
Hard work in business is necessary, especially in sprint moments like launches and periods of transformations. Occasionally, you will need to pour everything in — and that’s okay. But CONSTANT hustle is a fast track to overwhelm, burnout, and losing the passion that drove you to start in the first place.
“Just work harder” is rarely the solution. Most of the time, what people really need is more support so they can increase their capacity, rather than adding to their plate.
I built EVA because I believe there is a better way to do business. I wanted to be a part of teaching entrepreneurs to build a business that supports their life rather than consumes it.
If this resonates, I’d love for you to follow along 🤍
