On behalf of the Romanian Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Alberta, I am thrilled to celebrate the Grand Opening of our Chamber! This marks an important milestone for our community and reinforces our vision to strengthen connections between the Romanian and Canadian communities, the business sector, and decision-makers here in Alberta.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to H.E. Bogdan Mănoiu, Ambassador of Romania to Ottawa, and Mr. Brad Mitchell, Honorary Consul of Romania, for honouring us with their presence. Your support and encouragement mean a great deal to our newly established Chamber.
We are also grateful to Mr. Gabriel Rotaru, Consul General of Romania in Vancouver, for his supportive letter recognizing our Grand Opening.
Additionally, we extend our thanks to Honourable Joseph Schow Minister of Jobs, Economy, Trade and Immigration for approving the attendance of
Mr. Patrick Yu, Director, Trade Collaboration, Trade Capacity and Collaboration Branch, and Mr. Mario Krpan Director, Trade – Europe Trade and Export Expansion Branch who joined the event, enabling valuable connections to be made.
We are also grateful to Honourable Tanya Fir, Minister of Arts, Culture and Status of Women, for her supportive letter recognizing our Grand Opening.
Thanks go to Anoushka Fernandes, Strategic Advisor to the Alberta-India Chamber of Commerce, and Aurelio Fernandes, President of the Portugal Canada Chamber of Commerce and Industry, for joining us and demonstrating solidarity and collaboration between our communities.
A special thanks goes to Transilvania Spirits Inc., which generously sponsored our Grand Opening by providing their renowned beverages from Cramele Cotnari. Your contribution added a distinctive and memorable touch to our celebration.
I would also like to acknowledge Mr. Adrian Solomon, General Manager of Violino Restaurant, who has led this establishment for over 15 years. Thank you and your staff for hosting and preparing the event, elevating the prestige of our Grand Opening to a remarkable level.
