I am an almost 30-year-old mom with a passion for helping other moms and moms-to-be. I have always loved babies and children and have tried to spend as much time with them as possible. I started babysitting for neighbours, friends, and family when I was 12 years old. While in college I completed a placement at a daycare in my area. Once I graduated, I was offered a position there, where I worked as a supply teacher for 2 years. I loved working with the toddlers and preschoolers. After having my son and learning about pregnancy and breastfeeding I knew this was a field that I wanted to get into. I am a breastfeeding advocate and know from experience how beneficial it is to have support in the very beginning. I hope to help moms get a great start on their breastfeeding journey as well as support them with anything that comes up along the way. I am also an advocate for a good night’s sleep. My son was not a good sleeper. We were up multiple times a night for him to breastfeed himself back to sleep. We lived a sleep deprived life for a year before sleep training. Within just one week of sleep training he was sleeping from 7pm-7am without waking to breastfeed. I am looking forward to being able to use my newly developed skills to help parents get off to a great start with their babies, and to support parents with all situations that arise as their child ages.
