Fiskars has always been my go-to for outdoor hand tools, and I’m excited to finally get my hands on the new X36 splitting axe. It’s been available in Europe for some time and has only recently made its way to Canada.
For my U.S. followers—this one hasn’t hit the American market just yet. The X36 is the next generation of the legendary X27, bringing updated design and performance to an axe that already set the standard for serious wood splitting.

Since I already own the X27, I’m excited to put them side by side and see how this new model stacks up. I’ll be putting both to the test and will report back with the results.

It’s all about taking care of your chain and keeping it cat-claw sharp.
