The Security would like to encourage parents to assist us in getting your little ones home to prevent any wrongdoing that can happen and the potential danger of the night.
Night time can be very unpredictable, and we don't want to see any kids hurt.
Wild animals can enter town at anytime, bears during the summer, wolves during the winter etc.
Night time can also effect mental health for those who are prone to it.
Alcohol is also still a problem, the unpredictability of a intoxicated person should also be considered while your child is out at night.
Here is the reason why in a previous post, curfew was brought up.
"In Ontario, a provincial curfew exists under the Child and Family Services Act for children under 16. It prohibits unaccompanied youth from being in public places between midnight and 6 a.m."
Message this page if your little one is out, we can locate your child and inform you on there whereabouts.
Until we have an effective procedure to ensure our own safety and the child's safety, we won't be taking kids home unless certain conditions are met.
Assisting on getting female youth home:
1: A female security must be present.
2: The child is willing to comply.
3: A parent must authorize a security escorting the child home. (only if the parent is unable to come grab them on their own.)
4: Recordings may be taken to ensure our own safety.
5. It has to be curfew time, according to the Child and Family Services Act for children under 16.
Assisting on getting male youth home:
1. The child is willing to comply.
2. A parent must authorize a security escorting the child home. (only if the parent is unable to come grab them on their own.)
