If you enjoy variety in your work, spending time in the field, and exploring some of the most incredible places Northern BC and Alberta have to offer, this might be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

No two days are the same. One day you could be surveying a commercial building, the next you could be collecting samples at an industrial facility or traveling to a remote project site.

Preferred Certifications:
✔ Level S+1 WorkSafeBC Certificate
✔ H2S Alive
✔ Intermediate First Aid
✔ Transportation Endorsement
✔ Common Safety Orientation (CSO)

Experience considered an asset:
• Oil & gas industry experience
• Working with hazardous materials
• Asbestos and lead sampling
• Safety and regulatory knowledge related to hazardous materials

It has come time to make the difficult decision to close our laboratory, Radiant Labs Inc.

We are incredibly grateful for the trust, support, and partnerships we have built over the years. Many of you have been with us through different stages of our journey, and we have sincerely appreciated the opportunity to support your projects and businesses. It has been an honour to serve our clients and be a part of this industry.

Although this chapter is coming to a close for Radiant Labs, the story continues. Halo Enterprises Inc. remains active and committed to serving our clients and communities through environmental consulting, hazardous materials assessments, occupational hygiene services, and field support. I Haven’t done a day in the life of Halo in a while… in today’s episode, we discuss an older home’s findings when preparing it for demolition. Please follow along as I try to stumble through my speech impediment, while communicating important information to you!

🛑 Wait before you swing that sledgehammer! 🛑

Planning a home demolition or a major reno? The biggest danger might be the one you can’t see. Before demo day begins, testing for asbestos isn’t just a recommendation—it’s an absolute must for your health and safety.
In this reel, I’m breaking down 5 unexpected places asbestos could be hiding in your home:

🏠 Flooring: It’s not just the old vinyl or linoleum tiles themselves, but often the thick adhesives used to glue them down.

🪟 Window Putty & Caulking: Used heavily in older homes to seal up drafts and weather-proof windows.

⚡ Electrical Wiring: Older wire insulation and electrical panels sometimes contain asbestos for its heat-resistant properties.

🧱 House Wrap: That old black tar paper or underlayment hiding right beneath your siding.
🪜 Shingles: Older roofing materials were manufactured to be fire-resistant, which often meant packing them with asbestos.

Why does it matter? When you smash, rip, or tear into these materials, microscopic asbestos fibers are released into the air. Breathing them in can cause severe, irreversible respiratory diseases.

Don’t risk your lungs or your crew’s safety. Always hire a certified professional to test your property before the demolition starts!
