The brief: Organize shed so will fit soon to arrive snowblower! The method- vertical storage. Shelves are key to maximizing space up and hanging tools help create more floor space!! The process: empty and sort and see what is hiding inside the mystery bins…. Then KEEP or GO! Result: happy client.

Work avoidance…. It’s a real thing… especially when we are dreading doing a project we’ve been putting off for too long. What are your ‘tells’ of work avoidance? Mine is doing other small projects that somehow appeared out of thin air!! Like today - I’m avoiding my garage…. Yep an organizer who has a crazy full garage. Many reasons why but have been putting off until above zero. Today it was 12. Soooo I took apart all the shelves and drawers in the fridge, even dismantling the glass insets to clean. And if THAT was not enough… I solved the problem of my sad kitchen window sill by cutting a live edge plank to fit. Now my soon to be tomato plants have a place to sit (yep planted seeds today too). Be kind to yourselves. Tomorrow is another day.

Everyone moves eventually! Excited to be helping with a massive production & warehouse move! Same basic principles apply: #1 Sort and decide what is moving and what can be disposed of. #2 label, detailed labels and then more labels with pictures as backup because you will NOT remember what is in each box AND you don’t know who will be unpacking!! # 3 keep track of boxes (skids, loads) with a detailed inventory. If something goes missing you won’t find it without some deets!!
