If you ever have an appliance that starts to smell like burning plastic or electrical, be sure to unplug it and call the fire department if the smell persists. Then seek a professional for repair, or replace it. This was a dryer that popped the breaker, and when the breaker was reset, it started to smell like burning electrical. Thankfully the customer unplugged it immediately after noticing the smell.

I'm sure most of us have dealt with rodents, in some point of our life. This one was the worst we've seen yet. Mice seem to love dishwashers and fridges, especially the plastic poly water lines. Normally, we'd be able to splice in new wiring and repair the harness to a near factory specification, but, in this case, the mice had actually ate sections of the wire along with a couple plugs, deeming a harness replacement. We also treat all the wires with a bitter spray to attempt to prevent any future chewing!

We had a call for an LG dryer coming up with clean filter and wouldn't dry properly. This is by far, the worst lint build up I've ever seen. Around 2 lbs of lint/dust. Make sure you clean you dryer every few years at the minimum, and ensure your venting is connected properly! Glad we caught this before it caught fire!

Scratch and dent appliances do come with some great deals, but can also cause some headaches. This was off a 5 year old Whirlpool stove, which looked like it had been dropped off a truck and actually broke the bake element tray loose, dented in the side of the oven, and caused a pinched wire, which eventually shorted to ground and tripped the breaker. They haven't had a working oven for a while now, all because of one pinched wire for the bake element. Make sure if you're buying a scratch and dent appliance that it's been well inspected!

This was a different one, we had a call for a KitchenAid dishwasher that wasn't filling with water, and customer had replaced the water valve. After testing the float switch and checking voltage, we found the water valve was only receiving 5VAC.. After removing the front panel, low and behold, a broken wire for the water valve! We're both glad it was a simple fix! Contact a professional for your next repair! Another dryer saved from the scrap yard! We had an odd call for an LG with a clogged vent code, after inspecting and cleaning the entire dryer, we found the main heat relay was not closing, and was only heating in a heavy cycle to engage the 2nd element! Well, the board was backordered with no stock at manufacturer, thank God they called us! One day turn around and their board is repaired with a one year warranty!

Well this was a first, we got a call for a kenmore dryer that had no heat, after checking the element and fuse, we found the heater relay wasn't closing. After a quick inspection of the board, we found the coil side of the relay had blown! Usually it's the contact side of the relay that fails due to cycling. Another one saved from the scrap yard!
