Tannice has been providing professional book design since 1995, founded on a background that covers the educational, advertising and printing venues since 1979. Tannice’s text designs have been bought by other Canadian, American, British and Australian publishers. Since 2005, the emerging self-publishers have also benefited tremendously from her services. Tannice has provided design and production for pre-school picture books; kids junior fiction and teen fiction; self-help books and non-fiction environmental books (by authors like David Suzuki); RRSP guide books and some Massey Lecture series books; business and economic books; cookbooks and coffee table books; and over 2,000 fiction titles. Many of the books Tannice has worked on have won awards or have been Giller nominees, like "The Marrow Thieves." Tannice was pleased to have designed Beyond Measure — a Giller Prize short-list nominee. Back in 2004, she designed Home Schooling, The Perfect Circle and Immaculate Conception — amazing that three out of the five Giller Prize short-listed books had been on her desk. Other awards take us to 2012 where Andrew J. Borkowski's Copernicus Avenue won the 2012 Toronto Book Award, Cary Fagan's My Life Among the Apes was named to the Scotiabank Giller Prize longlist; Carol Bishop-Gwyn's The Pursuit of Perfection: A Life of Celia Franca is a finalist for the Charles Taylor Prize for Literary Non-Fiction, and George Bowering's Pinboy is a finalist for the 2013 BC National Award for Canadian Non-Fiction. She appreciates working on such wonderful books! Tannice Goddard doing text design along with Angel Guerra creating the cover for Olivo Oliva, together won the Alcuin Citation for excellence in book design in Canada.
