People often assume that women pivot because they’re unhappy.
That wasn’t my story.
I already had so much to be grateful for.
A wonderful husband.
Two amazing boys.
A home I love.
Morning coffee on the deck.
My garden.
Walks with my dogs.
The simple moments that remind me how good life really is.
Ironically, it was because I loved my life that I started looking for a different way to earn.
I wanted more mornings like this.
More unhurried conversations.
More flexibility to prioritize my health.
More time with the people I love.
More freedom to be present instead of constantly feeling like life had to fit around work.
I wasn’t trying to escape my life.
I was trying to create a way of working that supported it.
That’s why building an online business made sense to me.
Not because I wanted less ambition.
Because I wanted my ambition to create more of the life I already loved.
If you’re a woman in midlife who feels the same way, maybe you’re not looking for a different life either.
Maybe you’re simply looking for a different way to build it.
