Local trades and service businesses — this may be worth looking at.

Jobber has opened its 2026 grant program for home and commercial service businesses in Canada and the U.S.

They’re awarding $250,000 USD across 9 grants, including one grant of up to $100,000 USD.

This is not sponsored. I just think local businesses should know when opportunities like this are available.

It looks especially relevant for businesses in areas like:

I’ve always believed that if you want something different out of life, you have to be willing to do something different.

Different choices.
Different effort.
Different thinking.

A lot of people want exceptional results while doing exactly what everyone else is doing. That usually doesn’t work.

I think there’s real value in being willing to stand out, think differently, and do things in your own way, especially in business. Being unique isn’t something to hide.

It’s often the thing that makes people remember you.

I’ve been doing a few digital audits for local businesses lately, and I genuinely hope they’ve been helpful.

What’s stood out is that most businesses don’t need a total overhaul. They are usually pretty strong in a couple areas.

They usually need clarity on a few key things:

• how easy they are to find
• how clearly their website explains what they do
• whether customers can easily take the next step
• whether leads are being captured or missed

“Show, don’t tell.”

It’s a rule you hear a lot in film. Don’t just tell the audience what’s true.
Show them. I think the same applies to business.

Anyone can say they build great websites.
Anyone can say they understand marketing.
Anyone can promise results.

At Oxford Growth Co., I’m more interested in showing the work. That means:

• building real tools
• improving real websites
• testing real systems
• showing real examples
• explaining what actually works

Because business owners don’t need more vague promises.

They need proof.
They need clarity.
They need systems that actually help them grow.

That’s the standard I’m trying to build OGC around. Giving local business the same tools I use to innovate and make my businesses more efficient.
