* Before spraying, they usually give warning signs like stomping their feet, raising their tail, or hissing.
* A skunk’s spray can cause eye irritation and nausea, but it is rarely dangerous to humans or pets.
* Skunks are mostly nocturnal, meaning they are active at night.
* They are omnivores and eat insects, grubs, mice, berries, eggs, garbage, and pet food.
* Skunks actually help control pests by eating insects and rodents.
