This is why training is so important. I’m not saying for sure what occured here, but all it takes is for two chemicals to come into contact. While training I have heard so many stories of methane from trailer recoveries, or gases knocking out drivers and workers. Things to investigate and learn from. Who loaded the back? Was everything secured properly? Did the workers have training? What policies or procedures are in place? Many of these incidents are fully preventable. Had a great class today teaching asbestos awareness, hazard and control with the Marwest team. Definitely far from my favourite class because its so exciting, but I try to always have fun. I told one of the guys I have a great rapport with that the practical portion is eating a chunk of asbestos. I have been really researching and learning a lot more about asbestos and NOPs.
