One of the most common points of confusion I see when leadership teams implement EOS® is mistaking the Integrator role for the head of the Operations function.

They are not the same role. 🚫

While the Operations function focuses on executing within a specific area of the business, the Integrator is accountable for harmoniously integrating the major functions of the organization, including Sales & Marketing, Operations, and Finance. Their role is to ensure the leadership team stays aligned, issues get solved, and the Vision becomes reality through disciplined ex*****on.

When organizations confuse these roles, the Integrator often gets pulled too far into the day-to-day instead of leading at the highest level. 🚀

If your leadership team is experiencing friction between roles or struggling to execute consistently on your Vision, let’s talk. Drop a comment below or send me a message.

One of the biggest breakthroughs for growing businesses is understanding this:

You’re not supposed to do it all.

The Visionary sees the future.
The Integrator turns it into reality.

Gino Wickman and Mark C. Winters lay this out clearly—and when it clicks, everything changes.

Vision without ex*****on is just ideas.

Ex*****on without vision lacks direction.

The most effective businesses have both—a Visionary and an Integrator working together.

One sees what’s next.
The other makes it happen.

If you’ve ever felt stuck between big ideas and getting real traction, this might be why.

Watch this and see where you fit. 👇🏻

The most effective Visionaries don’t do it alone.

They have someone who turns vision into ex*****on. 💪
Who brings clarity, structure, and follow-through. 💯

A true running mate.

When those two roles are working together, everything changes.

Here's a newsletter I wrote that explains it all 👇🏻

I was sitting across from a client recently — smart, driven, the kind of person who has built something genuinely impressive — and I asked them the question every EOS journey eventually arrives at: What does your 10-year target look like? Ever feel like you have a clear vision… but things just aren’t moving the way they should?

Ideas aren’t the problem.
Energy isn’t the problem.

Ex*****on is where things start to break down.

If that’s hitting home, you’re not alone.

Here’s what we see all the time 👇🏻

The same person who’s creating the vision…
is also trying to drive the ex*****on.

That’s where things start to get messy.

• Too many ideas
• Shifting priorities
• Teams unsure what matters most

It’s not a people problem. It’s a structure problem.

Does this sound like you?

Always thinking about what’s next.
Ideas constantly flowing.
Drawn to big challenges, big risks, and big opportunities.

If this feels familiar, you might be a Visionary.

And if you are—there’s a way to harness that energy, bring clarity to your ideas, and turn it into real traction for your business.

If this is hitting close to home, let’s connect.

What is a Visionary—really?

It’s not just the founder. It’s not just the “idea person.”

The Visionary is the one pushing boundaries—challenging the status quo, spotting opportunities others miss, and pulling the organization toward something bigger.

They create momentum. They expand what’s possible. They keep the future front and center.

If you’ve ever felt pulled toward the future of your business more than the day-to-day—this is for you.

Thank you Mark C. Winters for writing this incredible book that highlights how important Visionaries are to their organizations!

When we say someone needs to “GWC” their seat, here’s what we mean:

Get it. Want it. Capacity to do it.

Do they truly understand the role?
Do they genuinely want the role?
Do they have the ability to succeed in it?

If any one of those is missing, you’ll feel it.

And yes—this even applies to the Visionary.

Just because someone is the founder or has big ideas doesn’t automatically mean they’re right for the Visionary seat. If they don’t fully GWC it, the vision gets unclear, priorities shift, and the team starts to lose confidence.

This is why “right person, right seat” matters so much.

Clarity and traction come from having the right people in the right roles—no exceptions.

Being a Visionary isn’t just a title—it’s a critical seat on your Accountability Chart.

Too often, the Visionary seat is treated like a luxury or simply a byproduct of being the founder. In a truly healthy organization, that seat is real work—high-level, high-impact work.

You’re the one focused on the “what’s next.” You solve the big problems, handle the major relationships, and see the future before anyone else does. Without that clarity, the organization doesn’t just slow down—it loses its way.

If you’ve ever felt like your role “doesn’t provide real value” because you aren’t in the day-to-day, remember this:

Your value isn’t measured by the small fires you put out. It’s measured by the big doors you open and the future you help create.

Stop apologizing for staying at 30,000 feet. That’s exactly where your business needs you to be.

05/08/2026

The Visionary lives in the future.

They’re constantly connecting dots, shaping strategy, and bringing new ideas to the table.

Not all of them stick—and that’s the point.

Because one great idea can change everything.

Keep pushing. Keep creating. Keep seeing what’s next.
