Lloydminster Fire Rescue

Lloydminster Fire Rescue (formerly the Lloydminster Fire Department) provides all fire and rescue services across the City of Lloydminster.

With two full-time composite fire stations, LFR delivers both emergency and non-emergency response services.

Over the last month Lloydminster Fire Rescue firefighters attended annual live fire training on four different days at Lakeland College - Emergency Training Centre -

The training consisted of scenarios/simulations when responding to structure fires. The firefighters rotated through various roles throughout the day including Command and sector leadership, pump operations, fire control tactics along with search and rescue.

The annual live fire training days are part of ongoing yearly fire/rescue and emergency response training commitments by the team, to provide effective and efficient fire rescue service to the Lloydminster community.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the 2026 Fire Prevention Week Open House!

It was great to see so many families stop by Fire Station #2 to meet our firefighters, explore the station, and kick off Fire Prevention Week with us.

As Fire Prevention Week continues, take a few minutes to think about fire safety at home. Remember to charge devices on hard, flat surfaces, use the correct charger, and keep charging devices away from pillows, blankets, and other soft materials.

We’ll see you next year!
