YMCA of Western Ontario Youth Advisory Council

YMCA of Western Ontario Youth Advisory Council The YMCA of Western Ontario’s Youth Advisory Council is a volunteer council of dedicated leaders who provide the Y with feedback and insight.

The YMCA of Western Ontario’s Youth Advisory Council or “YAC” is a council made by youth, for youth. Volunteers ages 13-24 work together in YAC to ensure youth input is always a priority of the YMCA. YAC focuses on youth engagement and participation, youth leadership, youth philanthropy and youth service, and changes the lives of teens in our communities. By creating programs, advising YMCA staff

and management, and critiquing existing programs, these dedicated leaders create many opportunities for teenagers, youths and students to reach their full potential through the YMCA. YAC is a way to make the voice of our future generation be heard and a way to engage others in our communities.
