Mike is in the city adding the AHERA building inspector course to his tool kit.

Education is a big part of 🤓 We would love for you to follow along and learn what it is that we do, and how we can help your home or business.

In addition, we are regularly teaching within the industry. We teach an asbestos awareness course, as well as a two-day asbestos abatement course to ensure your team is confident in the safe handling of this hazardous material.

Planning to reno your new-to-you home? If it was built prior to 1990, your home is likely to contain asbestos.

Before renovations begin, materials must be tested so that a plan can be made to safely remove asbestos containing materials.

Common materials to be tested in residential homes are: drywall joint compound, floor tile, vinyl flooring, ceiling texture, and vermiculite attic insulation.

In 2012 Mike observed a gap in services and felt he had an opportunity to contribute to Canada’s sunniest city.

With a background in environmental science and experience in the asbestos field, Mike and his young family made the move to Medicine Hat and Squareone Consulting was born.

Squareone now monitors and tests air quality while aiding contractors in the asbestos removal process across South Central Alberta and Southwest Saskatchewan. The companies expansion into our neighbouring province was a natural fit for our Saskatchewan-raised CEO.

The demand for safe asbestos removal has grown as post-war buildings across Western Canada are being converted, restored or demolished. Abatement workers and residents alike must feel assured that work has been done properly and the area is safe for occupancy. Squareone is up to the task.
