Curling Day in Canada. Lots of fun activities for everyone!!
Today is the day!! We are the host of the official national festival (It was in Banff last year). Here is the updated Festival Itinerary and everything you need to know about the day. Continue reading for some detailed information:
The quick 1 hour Try Curling sessions are available for walk-ins now. The 11 AM session has very limited space, so it's first come, first served. Please show up at least 15 minutes before your scheduled session. Lots of space for adults at 1 PM! If you want to give curling a try, come join us!
Most activities are free to attend in a come and go setting. These start at 2 PM, including the popular Kids Fun Zone!
Special Olympics Curling Team send-off is at 2:30 PM
Community Showdown is going to be a hit. Come cheer on your favourite teams as they compete in this fun 4-end curling game.
The Kids School Street Curling Draw to the Button Competition starts at 4 PM. "Curl" on an inflatable curling rink. The student that wins will get a Rocks and Rings set for their school!
TSN will be airing a special broadcast live from the festival grounds at the Northern Lights Palace. All we gotta do is fill the background and show the rest of the nation how much we love curling.
Festival funspiel is sold out. Come on out and watch the teams!
GET YOUR 50/50 TICKETS!! Draw happens at 4:30 PM today, so purchase well in advance. Jackpot is over $23,000 (winner takes home half) and expected to really grow today. You can't win if you don't have a ticket! 1 for $10, 3 for $20, or 10 for $50. We will be selling these at the festival site, or you can send etransfer (must include your name and phone number) to [email protected]
Cabaret tickets are available at the door. Let's pack the Palace tonight! 19+ event. Live music and games to play.
Celebrity curling Pat Simmons will be here! Unfortunately, Jill Officer is unable to attend.
