As my second summer as a Student Digital Mentor comes to an end, I just want to take a moment to say thank you!

As a team, McKenna Connect has helped over 600 residents of New Brunswick, over 150 businesses, and held over 80 workshops to build the provinces digital confidence!

Despite that, what I'll remember most are the people I've met, the conversations I've had, and the look on the faces of someone who learned something that they never thought they could.

To everyone who took advantage of this service, or helped spread the word, I thank you kindly! I'm truly grateful to have had such an amazing summer!

As more of everyday life moves online, access to technology is only part of the equation. People also need the confidence to use it.

In our latest piece, McKenna Connect Coordinator Sophie Dallon reflects on what she has seen across New Brunswick this summer: people learning new skills, solving everyday challenges and gaining the confidence to navigate technology on their own terms.

Through McKenna Connect, Student Digital Mentors are meeting people where they are, providing patient, practical support in communities across the province.

When people feel confident using technology, they are better able to access the services, information and connections they rely on every day.
