Sometimes, you don't realize you're making a memory... until it becomes one.
For the past 20 years, I've had the privilege of working in a home for the elderly, a place filled with incredible stories, wisdom, laughter, and generations of memories.
One of the highlights each year was our Father's Day Car Show.
Residents, families, staff, and community members would gather together, admiring the beautiful classic cars, sharing stories from decades past, and creating moments that brought smiles to so many faces.
What we didn't know in 2025 was that this Father's Day Car Show could be the last one... for now.
On March 9, our main building—the place where this special tradition took place—was severely damaged in a fire.
A building is made of walls and windows, but a home is made of the people, memories, and moments shared within it. And this place has been home to so many for generations.
While the rebuilding journey continues, this cherished tradition is on pause.
It's bittersweet to look back at these video knowing jt capture more than just a car show—it capture a chapter of history community, and connection that can never be replaced.
For now, we hold on to the memories and the stories. And one day, when the rebuilding is complete, we hope to gather again and create new ones.
❤️ After 20 years of working with seniors, I've learned that it's not the things we own that matter most—it's the moments we share and the lives we touch.
