Today is National Caregiver Day and these two humans right here are mine!

Whether it's juggling red wine wearing white, jumping off a flight of stairs or living with a chronically ill partner and Mom, they sure know how to thrive and make life fun for all of us!

Our caregivers are really the unsung heroes, so I wanted to take this time to give a shout out these champions.

Love you and special K . Thank you for being the wind beneath my wings! 💜

March 26th is Purple Day, a day where we all wear purple and actively raise awareness for Epilepsy.

My family has been my support system since day one and thanks to my little girl for spreading the word in her classroom and teaching her classmates about epilepsy. Props to her teachers as well for supporting us in bringing awareness! Proud Mama moment over here 💜💜

Epilepsy does not discriminate. It can affect anyone, at any age. I was diagnosed in my 30's and it altered my life completely. After the many bumps in the road and self acceptance, I made it my purpose to inspire people to advocate for themselves. In speaking and writing about my experiences and journey, I hope to encourage organizations to educate themselves and extend the conversation of inclusion to people with invisible disabilities.

We break barriers the best we can to make space for ourselves in the world and what we need is for our allies to welcome us with open arms. One of the best ways to show your support is to understand the illness, spread awareness about it, and encourage inclusion in your organizations and communities. So and join the conversation! 💜

When you don't have a tall planter, you just turn the ones you have upside down and make it work!!

I always loved design and decor but in the day-to-day hustle of career and life, I didn't really delve into it as much. Over the last few years, as I uncovered all the creative layers I had, I took an interest in doing some small projects around the house. Given my passion for the environment, I love thinking of different ways to use what we already have and reduce, repurpose and recycle. This year, I finally got into some bigger DIY projects.... the first one is spray painting!! Check them out in my stories and stay tuned for more 💜

Do you wear your 'Busy Badge of Honour' every day with pride? Most of us have grown up in this Culture of Busyness. If we are not constantly doing something, we almost feel wasteful. I realized this through my own health journey over the last decade. I noticed that I really found it challenging to rest and relax. So I intentionally slowed my life down and changed my overall perspective. I had the chance to talk about my own personal experiences and how I learned the Art of Rest and Relaxation last month at . As things open up after COVID, let's not forget to continue to do the things that make us happy rather than always checking off our busy to-do lists 💜

Some disabilities are visible and others are invisible. More than half our population suffers from some type of invisible or chronic illness. But the latter often goes unnoticed, at work and in our communities. So raising awareness and making a difference in that space is extremely important to those of us who would like to encourage self-advocacy and inclusion within our workplaces. When each of us takes a stand, we all benefit as a community!
