Hereโ€™s a peek behind the scenes of who I am outside of work, business, and responsibilities. ๐Ÿ˜„

1๏ธโƒฃ If Korean food and K-dramas were a love language, Iโ€™d be fluent. South Korea is definitely on my travel bucket list! ๐Ÿคฉ

2๏ธโƒฃ My very first job after college was as a Medical Representative for a German pharmaceutical company. I was young, can still stay up until 3am and work the next day, and carrying a very serious-looking bag everywhere. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚

3๏ธโƒฃ The first country I ever visited outside the Philippines was Hong Kong and the best part? The company paid for it because I earned an incentive trip. โœˆ๏ธ

4๏ธโƒฃ I did my college internship at the Office of the President of the Philippines. Looking back, that was pretty cool for a probinsyana girl trying to figure life out.

5๏ธโƒฃ Iโ€™m an ambivert. I genuinely enjoy people but after enough socializing, youโ€™ll find me at home in pajamas recharging my batteries. ๐Ÿ˜†

6๏ธโƒฃ I met James when I was 21 and we got married when I was 30. Weโ€™ve been together for HALF of my life now. Thatโ€™s either romantic or proof that heโ€™s very patient. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜

7๏ธโƒฃ Iโ€™m the eldest grandchild on my momโ€™s side of the family. Being the first grandchild basically meant my younger cousins call me boss. ๐Ÿ˜…

8๏ธโƒฃ Iโ€™m a Leo. Whether you believe in zodiac signs or not, Iโ€™ll let you decide if it explains anything. ๐Ÿ˜‚

9๏ธโƒฃ I wanted to become a veterinarian when I was young. It was also my momโ€™s dream for me. Looking back, it makes sense because Iโ€™ve always had a soft spot for animals. ๐Ÿพ

๐Ÿ”Ÿ I have an unhealthy relationship with planners and notebooks. Every time I see a cute one, I somehow convince myself that THIS is the notebook that will change my life. Ask my husband. He has witnessed this many times. ๐Ÿ“’๐Ÿ˜‚

๐ƒ๐š๐ฒ ๐Ÿ: ๐Œ๐ฒ ๐–๐ก๐ฒ โค๏ธ

Losing my mom at 9 years old changed the way I looked at life.

When youโ€™re a child, you assume your parents will always be there. You assume there will always be more time. Then one day, there isnโ€™t.

Growing up without my mom meant growing up a little faster than most. As the eldest child, responsibility became a big part of my life growing up.

For many years, my focus was simple: survive, work hard, help my family, and do the best I could with the opportunities I had.

I left home to study in Manila despite all the challenges. Later, I moved to Dubai and spent over a decade working there, helping support my siblings through college and building a better future for our family.

Then my husband James and I moved to Canada to start another new chapter.

Like many immigrants and working professionals, retirement wasnโ€™t something I seriously thought about in my 20s or even my 30s.

I was focused on paying the bills, helping family, building a career, and simply getting ahead.

The years went by quickly.

And somewhere in my 40s, I had a realization:

๐‹๐ข๐Ÿ๐ž ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐ ๐ฎ๐š๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ž๐. ๐ˆ๐ญ ๐œ๐š๐ง ๐ž๐ง๐ ๐š๐ง๐ฒ ๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐ž.

My mom never got the chance to grow old. She never got the chance to retire. She never got the chance to see her kids build their lives.

That realization changed something in me.

I donโ€™t want to spend the next 20 years simply waiting for retirement.

I want to intentionally build toward it.

Our goal is to retire from full-time corporate work in about 10 years or so while weโ€™re still healthy enough to enjoy the freedom weโ€™ve worked so hard for.

James and I want to travel more, not someday, but regularly.

We want the ability to say yes to experiences without always worrying about whether we had enough vacation days left.

We want to help our families and give generously without having to think twice.

And more importantly, help others create those same options for themselves.

If losing my mom taught me anything, itโ€™s this:
Tomorrow is never promised.

So while itโ€™s wise to plan for the future, itโ€™s equally important to live today.

At almost 43, I donโ€™t feel behind. I feel awake.

For the first time in a long time, Iโ€™m intentionally preparing for the future while fully appreciating the present.

And thatโ€™s my why. โค๏ธ

For the next 15 days, Iโ€™ll be participating in our communityโ€™s โ€œShow Your Face Challenge.โ€

If youโ€™ve been following me for a while, I tend to focus on ideas, inspirations, lessons, and experiences. But one thing Iโ€™ve learned is that people connect with people.๐Ÿ’•

So over the next couple of weeks, Iโ€™ll be stepping a little further outside my comfort zone and sharing more of the person behind the posts. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Iโ€™ll be talking about:
โœ… Who I am
โœ… My why
โœ… Fun facts about me
โœ… Lessons life has taught me
โœ… Goals Iโ€™m currently working on
โœ… Challenges Iโ€™ve overcome
โœ… Things Iโ€™m grateful for
โœ… Productivity tips, quotes that inspire me, and more

My hope is that by sharing my journey, experiences, and reflections, I can encourage someone who may be walking a similar path.

Iโ€™m turning 43 next month, and one thing Iโ€™ve realized is that itโ€™s never too late to learn, grow, reinvent yourself, or start something new.

So hereโ€™s to showing up, being authentic, and embracing progress over perfection.

I hope to get to know you too! ๐Ÿ’•

Hi everyone! Iโ€™m Ann, currently based in New Brunswick, Canada and co-owner of this page with my husband James.

I work full-time in Supply Chain for a manufacturing company, and Iโ€™m also building a digital business alongside it.

Iโ€™m a spoiled wife ๐Ÿ˜, clingy ๐Ÿคฃ fur mom to our two rescue kitties, Oreo and Coco, and a proud aunt who absolutely loves spoiling my nephews and nieces.

When Iโ€™m not working, youโ€™ll usually find me at home with my little family. I genuinely enjoy the simple things in life: spending time with my husband and our fur babies, watching my favourite shows, reading self-development books, listening to podcasts and going for walks in nature or around our neighborhood. Those moments help me slow down, recharge, and appreciate the life weโ€™re building.

For many years, I was focused on responsibilities, career goals, and taking care of others. While those things are still important to me, Iโ€™ve learned that life is meant to be experienced, not just managed.

These days, Iโ€™m intentionally creating a life that includes growth, meaningful relationships, new experiences, and the freedom to enjoy the journey along the way.

Iโ€™m grateful to be part of this community and excited to continue learning, growing, and building alongside all of you. โค๏ธ

Tonight, I attended a powerful Mastermind session with a remarkable young lady, Mingma Lama who is turning 21 tomorrow! ๐Ÿ˜

Her story is incredible. At just 10 years old, she moved to the United States alone.

At 19, she started building her online business.

Most people spend years waiting until they feel ready, qualified, or confident enough to take a chance on themselves.

Mingmaโ€™s journey is a powerful reminder that confidence isnโ€™t the prerequisite.

Itโ€™s the result.

It doesnโ€™t matter how young or old you are.

If you have an open mind, an open heart, and a willingness to learn new skills, you can create a different future for yourself.

Too many people spend years waiting but time keeps moving.

The life you said you wanted wonโ€™t build itself.

At some point, we have to stop waiting and start learning. Stop overthinking and start doing. Stop hesitating and start growing.

Most mistakes can be fixed but years lost to hesitation are much harder to get back.

Make mistakes. Donโ€™t hesitate.

Because confidence isnโ€™t built by thinking about it.

Itโ€™s built by taking action, learning the skills, staying consistent, and trusting yourself enough to begin.

What is one thing youโ€™ve been putting off that deserves your attention today?

Back to regular programming after a wonderful week away. โ˜•๏ธ

Thereโ€™s something about stepping away from your daily routine and seeing a different part of the world that resets your perspective.

Travel reminds you that life is bigger than deadlines, chores, and the same four walls you see every day. It gives your mind room to breathe, reflect, and appreciate how much there is still to experience.

One thing weโ€™re especially grateful for is that while we were enjoying the views, making memories, and soaking it all in, our online business didnโ€™t come to a complete stop. We have systems in place that allowed it to continue running in the background.

Thatโ€™s what weโ€™re working towardโ€”not escaping work, but creating more flexibility and options in life.

Now itโ€™s time to unpack, cuddle the fur babies, and get back to building. โค๏ธ

Whatโ€™s one place youโ€™ve visited that completely refreshed your mind and perspective? ๐Ÿ‘‡

06/19/2026

For most of my adult life, Iโ€™ve been working toward โ€œsomeday.โ€

Someday when work is less demanding.
Someday when we have more savings.
Someday when life feels more settled.

But the truth is, life never really slows down.

There will always be bills to pay, responsibilities to manage, people depending on us, and reasons to put things off.

Thatโ€™s why Iโ€™ve learned that there is no perfect time.

There is only time and what we choose to do with it.

The future we want doesnโ€™t get built in one big leap. Itโ€™s built through small decisions made consistently over time.

Taking the trip.
Starting the healthy habit.
Learning a new skill.
Creating an additional income stream.
Making time for the people we love.

Not because life is perfect.

But because we donโ€™t want to wake up 10 years from now wondering what could have happened if we had started today.

Life is happening now.

Donโ€™t wait for the perfect season. Use the season youโ€™re in. โค๏ธ

While weโ€™re away enjoying a week of vacation, our online business continues to run in the background.

Thatโ€™s one of the things we appreciate most about building it.

We donโ€™t have to choose between making memories and growing our income. As long as we have an internet connection, we can check in when needed and then get back to enjoying the moment.

Today, weโ€™re slowly building something that gives us more flexibility, more options, and more freedom over how we spend our time.

Weโ€™re not fully there yet, but every step counts.

For now, weโ€™re soaking in the views, making memories, and feeling grateful for a business that can travel with us. โค๏ธ
