Winter Shipping Update from ECA-Tranship βοΈ
As winter settles in across Canada, temperatures in many areas are now dipping below β5Β°C overnight, with some regions already blanketed in snow.
Even with insulated boxes and heat packs, these extreme conditions make shipping live fish too risky β especially during overnight transit and next-day delivery, when boxes may spend long periods in unheated trucks.
To ensure the safety and well-being of all fish, ECA-Tranship will pause all imports and domestic shipments starting November 1st.
We understand that some other transhippers may choose to continue operating during the colder months. While we respect their decisions, ECA-Tranship believes that no shipment is worth the life or suffering of a fish.
Our commitment is β and always will be β to prioritize the health, safety, and humane treatment of every animal we handle.
We appreciate your understanding and ongoing support. Warmer days will return soon, and so will our shipments.
