Challenge Accepted!
First, I want to say how beautiful it is to see the amount of support and love to this challenge. I was not around my computer much this week, so today when I went to participate, I realized that I was tagged by so many beautiful strong women... I am touched by so much love. Thank you for tagging me Natasha Gargiulo Margarita Vouyoukas Donnabella Christina Esteban Melanie Fleury ADGdesign and - You are all so beautiful, inside and out - Love you. 💕
As I looked further into this challenge, and what this movement stood for... I found out that it was born in Turkey, one of the countries with the highest number of feminicides & domestic violence. Everyday, B&W photos of women killed are posted on social media, tv or in newspapers to force women to stop suffering and react because the next photo to be published could be theirs. Those photos are then used to install courage for the surviving women to escape the torturer. (If you want to see some of these photos, has started to share them)
Today, by posting this in my feed, I aim to show that they are no different than us. It could be our photos in the papers if we were there. By posting my B&W I show solidarity to all women around the world. And today, I want to say thank you, because I recognized how blessed I am to have many fierce, loving and kind women and men that surround me.
