CONNECTING PEOPLE. CREATING OPPORTUNITIES. BUILDING TOMORROW.

Immigration outcomes depend on individual eligibility and IRCC requirements. A CRS score of 518 does not mean every candidate with that score receives an invitation; the applicable tie-breaking rule and other requirements also matter.

🇨🇦 NEW: Work Permit Holders Can Study Without a Study Permit

IRCC has introduced a new temporary measure allowing eligible workers with a valid work permit to study for up to 6 months without applying for a study permit.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/notices/economic-growth-public-services-contributions-temporary-workers.html

This can help workers already in Canada — including tradespeople, nurses and laboratory technicians — pursue short-term education, licensing or training while continuing to work.

The goal is to help workers develop in-demand skills and better contribute to healthcare, home building and other important sectors in Canada.

The measure is in effect until December 31, 2027.

📌Are you an international student planning your PR path in Canada?🇨🇦

With the new IRCC updates affecting Post-Graduation Work Permits
(PGWP), staying informed is key to protecting your PR eligibility!

Here are answers to the top questions our kababayans are asking : 🤔👇

Q1: Can I still get a PGWP if I graduate from a public or private college?
👉A1: It depends on your program! IRCC now requires field-of-study alignment tied to long-term labor shortages (like healthcare, trades, and STEM) for certain college programs. Always verify if your program qualifies.

Q2: What is the new language requirement for PGWP applicants?
👉A2: University graduates need a minimum CLB 7 (English or French), while college graduates need minimum CLB 5 when applying to
their PGWP.

Saskatchewan has announced its final capped-sector immigration intake for 2026!

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) has set aside 550 provincial immigration spaces for employers in selected sectors. The intake will take place on September 14 and 15, with spots available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Available spots:
🔹 Retail, trade & other services — 175
🔹 Trucking — 150
🔹 Accommodation — 50
🔹 Food services — 175

Employers need to be ready when their specific intake window opens, as spaces in many capped sectors can fill within hours.

Workers being supported must generally have 6 months or less remaining on their work permit, and employers must submit an Employer Position Assessment (EPA).

Saskatchewan has already filled 1,262 capped-sector positions through its January–July 2026 intakes. The province's total SINP nomination allocation for 2026 is 4,761.

If you work in one of these sectors and are looking at Saskatchewan as a pathway to permanent residence, preparation before the intake opens could be critical.
