This week on a new episode of the AI Optimize Podcast, Charles sits down with Tristan Hulscher, owner of Envision Painting.

They dive into what it actually looks like to scale a service business in today’s market beyond the surface.

From plateauing revenue to rebuilding a sales team, Tristan walks through the real challenges behind growth:
• Hiring the right people (and dealing with the wrong ones)
• Fixing a sales process that no longer performs
• Adapting to a market with more competition and less margin for error

One thing becomes clear throughout the conversation:

Scaling today isn’t about doing more.
It’s about tightening everything that already exists.

Sales. Hiring. Systems. Ex*****on.

Because what used to work a few years ago simply isn’t enough anymore.

A startup just raised $50M to let employees build their own AI agents.

The idea is that people inside companies could start automating parts of their work themselves : research, reporting, data analysis, and internal processes.

It’s a compelling vision.

But once you try to bring these systems into real operations, things quickly become more complex.

Access to the right data.
Connecting with existing tools.
Making sure the AI behaves reliably and stays within clear guardrails.

That’s usually where most organizations realize this is more than just plugging in a model.

At AI Optimize, this is exactly the type of challenge we focus on, turning AI ideas into systems that actually operate inside real companies.

Curious to hear your perspective:
how quickly do you think AI agents will become part of everyday work inside organizations?

If you're exploring AI agents in your organization, feel free to reach out, happy to have a conversation.

Construction has historically been slow to adopt new technologies.
But that is starting to change.

Charles Dumas on the AI Optimize Podcast recently had the incredible opportunity to sit down with Adams, Senior Director of Construction at Canderel group, one of Canada’s most established real estate development firms, shaping major projects across the country for decades.

Shannon Adams brings more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry and now leads high-rise residential construction projects in Toronto, one of the most complex real estate markets in North America.

In this clip, she shares how technology is beginning to create immediate and practical value on construction sites.

But one point she made really stood out:

Technology isn’t replacing people.

It’s empowering leaders with better visibility and better decision-making.

And in large-scale construction projects, that kind of clarity can make all the difference.

🎥 Here’s a short clip from our conversation.

The full episode of the AI Optimize Podcast is coming out today stay tuned.

Here are the 12 concepts behind every successful AI implementation.

Understanding even a few of them is the difference between wasting money on hype and actually scaling your business.
But here's what most people don't realize:

You don't need all 12.

Every business is different. A staffing agency doesn't need the same AI setup as a mortgage broker. A facility management company has completely different automation needs than an IT consulting firm.

The real challenge isn't learning these concepts. It's figuring out which ones actually matter for YOUR business and how to implement them the right way.

That's exactly what we do at AI Optimize

We help you identify the specific AI solutions that will move the needle for your business, then we install them directly into your existing systems - so you're not just learning about AI, you're actually running on it.

If you're ready to stop guessing and start scaling with the right AI tools built into your operations, come talk to us.

AI Optimize: we build it, we install it, you grow. 🚀

Episode 5 of the AI Optimize Podcast is now live!

A thoughtful and eye-opening conversation with Paul Kealey, founder and CEO of EkoBuilt, who is redefining what it means to build healthy, affordable homes in today’s construction landscape.

In this episode, Charles Dumas sits down with Paul for a deep discussion about his transition from high school teacher to passive housing entrepreneur, and the mission that drives EkoBuilt across North America.

From questioning why modern homes often compromise health, to pivoting from log homes to certified passive systems, to navigating rising construction costs and slow-moving building codes, Paul shares powerful insights on long-term thinking, sustainability, and why awareness is the foundation of real change.

We also explore how AI and automation can support construction businesses not by adding complexity, but by improving systems, optimizing customer experience, and increasing operational efficiency while staying aligned with core values.

If you’re a builder, developer, entrepreneur, or leader thinking about the future of housing, health, and scalable systems, this episode is a must-watch.

This answer caught me off guard.

When Charles Dumas asked Paul Kealey, founder of EkoBuilt, what he would change instantly in his business, he didn’t talk about revenue or scale.

He said: awareness.

Awareness of how our homes affect our health. Awareness of the decisions we make without realizing the long-term cost.

From there, the conversation moved to automation and AI not as buzzwords, but as tools to: simplify systems, improve the customer experience,
remove friction without losing control.

This clip is a good reminder that real optimization starts with clarity not complexity.

Is success in entrepreneurship built alone? Or guided?

Charles Dumas recently sat down with Babak Nikraftar, founder of Forte Projects Ltd. and Condoworks Transformations Transformations, to talk about something that rarely gets enough credit in business: Mentorship.

Babak shares how the right mentors helped shape his thinking, sharpen his decisions, and avoid costly mistakes along the way. Not mentors who tell you what you want to hear but mentors who challenge your assumptions and help you see further than your current position.

Because entrepreneurship isn’t just about working harder. It’s about learning faster.

At AI Optimize, we’re deeply aligned with leaders who understand that real growth comes from perspective, guidance, and long-term thinking not ego or isolation.

What do you think?

Has mentorship played a defining role in your entrepreneurial journey?

I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments 👇
