Quick heads up for an upcoming move out sale!

Friday 17th and Saturday 18th, 9am - 3pm both days.

We just moved the super star that lived there to retirement living and these are things she had no use of for her next chapter!

Some situations need a little more time and a patient, strategic approach.

Regardless of what you might see in the before photos, the gentleman that lived here saw useful things, memories hidden in every ( and I mean quite literally every) scrap of paper, proud reminders of the important job that he has long since retired from and glimmers of his late wife and the life they shared.

The primary goal was to empty his home so that it could be listed for sale and for him to be moved to retirement living.

It took quite a few visits for him to trust us. We would arrive to find he had emptied entire garbage bags that we had previously filled out onto the floor, just to check we hadn’t tried to sneak stuff in them behind his back. It was definitely two steps forward and one back, but once he saw that he was respected and heard and that we were going to make decisions together as a team, rather than them being made for him, we maintained a steady pace. He was adamant that he was keeping almost everything and for it to be moved to storage lockers.

Over 1000 boxes and many, many hours later, working side by side with him listening to his stories, being entertained by his dry sense of humour, and surviving several heart attacks every time he burst into very loud operatic song, the house was finally empty.

And while this was the goal, the fact that he is now living in a safe space, has meals made for him, his suite cleaned and has people checking in on him just means everything 🧡

Great little estate sale in the heart of Departure Bay. I’ll pop the address up tomorrow when I add more photos as we are still setting things up.

Here are some pics of the Harewood estate.
We are still working on unboxing the basement as you can see, items won’t be priced or displayed as they are at our regular sales. This is not how I normally operate as you all know and it kinda gives me an ick, but being flexible and working with the wishes of the family is always the priority.
This is going to be by appointment only, on Sunday the 17th of May 9am-3pm with groups of 2-3 at a time, a window of one hour shopping time will be allocated.
Cash only because once again the cell service is dire.
Message me to reserve a spot. Spots will be given based on the order the requests come in.

Lots of new and unused items, vinyl, cassettes, men’s clothing, lamps, furniture, tools, kitchen items, ladders, antique chairs, stereo equipment and whatever else is in the unopened boxes!

Who wants to come to another sale??

This one is located in an executive home in north Nanaimo. The couple who live here are moving out East and are leaving most of their belongings behind.

They spent time living in Argentina and travelling -there are some unique items here!

They are outdoorsy folk , still skiing and cycling at 88! So there’s also multiple sets of skis, some fishing, unused inflatable kayaks, lots of camping and even some snorkelling gear!

The home is on 3 levels each with its own deck facing the water, the view is ridiculously stunning, with this many decks comes several Sun loungers and patio sets.
The shed is full of yard tools and the shop on the second level is home to every tool you could need ( Deja vu!!)
The interior is full of tasteful furniture and high quality decor, from recliners, bedrooms sets, pine drawers, desks , tables, grandmother clock and a Yamaha piano to Original artworks, telescope, kitchen ware, linens, clothing, electronics, spurs ( yes, I said spurs), games, toys, decor and so much more!!

Sale runs Friday May 1st and Saturday May 2nd - 9am-3pm both days.
