On this Flashback Friday … ✂️🚬
If the walls of 29 Seguin Street could talk, they’d have decades of downtown stories to share!
Rumour has it, this location was once Holmes Smoke Shop — a go to spot for newspapers, to***co, and friendly conversation right in the heart of Parry Sound Downtown. Later, it became Harold’s Barbershop, where generations sat in the chair for a fresh cut and a chat about the day’s events. Founded in 1967 by Harold Baker. His son Kevin joined in 1979 they worked together until Harold’s retirement in 2008. You can still find Kevin there today, as the tradition continues with Connelly’s Barbershop, proudly carrying forward the classic barbershop atmosphere — scissors clipping, stories flowing, and community at its heart.
✂ Same cozy location.
✂ Same downtown spirit.
✂New chapter in a long local legacy.
