Back to back stainless jobs. I designed every aspect of this project in Fusion360 and had its components laser cut at TradeWest Fabrication. This one is a ladder for a cistern, 100% built to OSHA and sanitary service potable water standards. Safety and integrity are upfront on this job so the stainless TIG welding is a fickle process for maximum smoothness without sacrificing weld strength with polishing the welds. Followed up with my new toy... electro passivation of the welds (Fancy sanitary electro weld cleaner).

A step by step of this aluminum wheel repair from start to finish.

- Drilling out the end of the failure.
- Fully cutting out/cleaning the crack.
- Carbide trenching the crack from both sides.
- Pre-heat, weld one side, continue trenching out the opposite side to clean sound aluminum, weld 2nd side.
- Peening the weld.
- Lastly, slow cooling.
The icing on the cake... That blend job 👌

This get done right in my shop or not at all...

With my skill set... I've actually installed more sets of side steps to vehicles that would otherwise no longer been able to accept them because of their age and wear or a poor previous installation causing inner rocker damage, than I have to new vehicles. This one needed a lot of massaging, welding and a bit of fabrication... But I win this time rust bucket.
