Here is one that stands out from the crowd. 60 to 70 ft poplars up to about 16 inches in diameter. We went in with our tree shear first and cut into roughly 12ft lengths to be bucked up for firewood and the tops and branches were all mulched with the rest of the smaller material. Jobs big or small we handle them all. Message to get a quote on your next project.

Have worked with this customer for 3 years. Started of with mulching and clearing the two lots. Then working up and smoothing the one lot so they could enjoy it. Then came excavating and building up a pad for their concrete crawl space floor for their house one the second lot. We came back during construction to fix up some drainage issues then this year we finished up grading and black dirt work and graveling the driveway. Nice to see how everything took shape over time and looks great now. The project is not over though, future plans is to do a garage pad and some more dirt work. This is an excellent customer we have and we managed to work within his budget as he was doing all the building himself.

Why yes we do have access mats. A customer that we have worked with before asked if we knew where he could get some mats. Ask and you shall receive. We keep access mats for those occasions that they will come in handy. For this particular job it is a new approach that with all the rain is soft and concrete trucks need to get in to pour the garage pad.
Also on a note I get calls about asking for skid steer work. Yes we do have a skid steer. I don’t promote it that much because I use it more for tool for the excavator. It’s not a small mini excavator being a 6ton machine it’s a mid size but with the skid steer with it I can take on bigger excavations instead of having a 20 or 25 ton machine. Plus everyone and their dog has a skid steer. And I don’t really need to try and compete with them and their rates. A reminder it’s not the equipment that you pay for it’s the experience. I started in construction at 15yrs old with a shovel. And when I decided to go out on my own I was a superintendent for one of the largest construction companies in the arctic. Now at 53 and having a young son to take care of alone my small little company that I can take care and spend time with him and also still do what I do best keeps us very well and customers happy with all the work that I provide for them.

Well the month of may was great. We did a few water line installs for a driller we work with. Had some ongoing projects that have been done in phases for a really good client that we have been working with for the last 3 years. Competed a couple driveways, a garage pad, some topsoil jobs. It was a busy May. June started out good but wet. Managed to get out to Silver sands golf course to do some trenching and mulching though. We are booking for this month and onwards. Hope everyone’s spring is looking better now the snow is gone. Ours is looking pretty good now too.
