๐ข Recent numbers from Toronto show that homelessness has more than doubled in just three years. On a single day, over 15,000 people were counted as having no home, and that's only one city. This isnโt just a big-city issue. New reports from rural Nova Scotia show rising homelessness there too, and similar trends are showing up in towns and cities across Canada.
The reality is, people all over the country are having a harder time finding and keeping a place to live. More and more are turning to shelters, and too many are slipping through the cracks.
As the new federal government prepares its first budget, one thing is clear: tackling homelessness needs to be a national priority. We already know what can help, we just need serious leadership and proper funding to make it happen.
If you want a Canada where everyone has a safe and affordable home, this is the moment to speak up. Share this message, contact your Member of Parliament, and call for a budget that puts housing and homelessness at the top of the list.
