Received an ITA and suddenly realized your NOC may be wrong?
The good news is: changing your NOC after an ITA is possible in some cases. But if done incorrectly, it can lead to refusal or even misrepresentation concerns.
Remember:
1. Your job duties matter more than your job title.
2. Your updated NOC must still keep you eligible.
3. Your CRS score must remain above the cut-off score
One of the biggest mistakes applicants make is selecting a NOC based only on the title instead of the actual duties.
Before submitting your PR application, make sure your reference letters, employment records, job duties, TEER category all align properly.
If you are unsure whether your NOC is correct, it’s better to review it early than face issues later.
