There (as usual 🤭) has been a lot of stuff going on! I have entered a new era having turned 40 🎉, some sweet travelling with my loved one happened, and so did multi-series consulting to a client who was seeking to transform their CV so that they become visible for the job market. After several years of not being able to land on a valuable position, my client has come to me with a request to completely recreate their resume. I have made a review of their previous application packages, have found the drawbacks, and established the core valuable points in the documentation, that would need to be emphasized in the upgraded docs. We have worked at everything: framework, style, language, content, text logic, main message… As a result, the client has received two resumes ready to be submitted to two distinct clusters of job positions. I am very proud of this work, and I wish my client to find a great job asap! My brain isn’t braining anymore LOL. Within last couple of week, literally EVERYTHING happened.
- My first comprehensive CAPYBARA consulting service to a university professor, which included multiple classes observations, several one-to-one sessions, and a 20-pages report on teaching methodology;
- An incredible empowering Girls in Business event by , which inspired further ideas for my business and brought so much fun with networking and communication;
- An amazing conference Radiodays North America 2025 in Toronto, which overdelivered in many respects, especially in the sense of eye-opening presentations by public speaking professionals!
I am overwhelmed and happy. Life is incredible. I now need to unwind and digest everything that has been uploaded into my mind. And I am telling myself today: well done! Way to go, girl! 🌍

Today has been amazing, because I have done something that I truly enjoy doing: working with people directly and help them with finding answers to important questions! I have chatted with a client who needed a consultation on strategic career planning, and I provided them with techniques and instruments for systemic analytical approach to making career-related decisions. Even though career counselling is not my primary specialty, I am happy to share knowledge and experience in this regard, and provide overall guidance for the next steps. Among other things I have recommended the client to chat with a certified Career Counsellor, and recommended a book, which I find is really nice for job-related self-assessment. The book is called “What color is your parachute?” by Richard Bolles. I used this book myself and it was a great help when I had to determine my further career path a decade ago. Turns out this book has been around since 1970s! No wonder it has been popular since then - it contains multiple practical decision-making tools 🔥 I encourage you to check this one out!… All that being said, my long-term teacher-counselling commitment is almost done - a couple of weeks left only! Right after something super-exciting is coming up: Capybara’s First Birthday on April the 2nd! To celebrate, there will be sweet offers for returning and new clients, that I will introduce the coming days 🎉🎉🎉 stay tuned!

New Year = New things😆

Why has 2024 been good? Well, Capybara has been born this year🌞 I am happy to report that I have had 10 clients!!! I have helped them to better teach, better write, better present, and overall improve skills in written and oral communication! I have got a registration number, a unique name and logo, business cards, and little souvenirs for customers! My immediate plan is to have some nice mugs made, by the way ☕️ On a serious note, I seem to have worked out the overall business strategy, for that I consulted with experienced business owners, and participated in business coaching sessions… I thought a lot about advertising, getting the word out there, ways to find clients… Honestly, in the beginning of this year I was absolutely puzzled and didn’t even know what to begin with, and now so much is already done - this is incredible really. There is still tons of work ahead, and a lot of it is thinking things through, overcoming fears, and doing things I have never done (like creating a discounts system, participating in business meet ups, creating value proposition and business model canvases LOL). This is so exciting! Ultimately, all of my efforts are aimed at helping people to communicate better. I adore working hands-on with clients. And the best thing I have ever known is my clients’ happy eyes when they have made some kind of discovery, and when they are super happy with the result, and when they have achieved their goals. This is truly wonderful to be a part of peoples’ skills transformations! Thank you everyone who has let me help you this year! I am looking forward to further productive work in 2025 and beyond! PS. Capybara is being chill currently, as promised. She is satisfied, delighted, and peaceful. And is always there to support you guys 😃❤️ Happy New 2025 🎉🎉🎉

A wonderful success story about my client! A lady contacted me some time ago and said she needed to set up a professional resume. She never had a resume before, so a lot of exciting work awaited us! We have had several on-the-phone and in-person meetings, and the result of our collaboration was a resume document that included a concise description of everything my client did throughout her professional life during... 40 years! We managed to fit her international work experience in 1,5 pages🔥. Not only was the lady super satisfied with the result, she also found a job using the very resume that we put together... in a month! It is a lucky coincidence that it happened so fast, but I am happy I was a part of somebody's professional development path in Canada! I will never forget what my client said when she looked at her finalized resume. She said: "Now when you wrote everything down in clear and plain language, I have remembered in more detail what I did at work during all of these years🎉. I now know how to move on". Her feedback almost brought a tear to my eye 😍

Doing things “pro bono” is fantastic, and it feels extra special over the holiday season! Today I have done some volunteering: conducted a master-class on Cyrillic Alphabet and Calligraphy for high school students at Canterbury High School in Ottawa! This was truly awesome - students who like foreign languages learned to write their names in Cyrillic letters, trained Slavic cursive writing, and deciphered Cyrillic texts! The feedback was great, everybody loved the event! I in the meantime felt nostalgic in the educational setting and so much enjoyed working with teenagers! They were so sweet and engaged - nothing more to ask 🌞 Special thanks to the event coordinator ❤️

If you are thinking: « there is no need to know how to write well anymore as AI can do it for me » - you are not alone, many people think like that. The tricky thing however is that there are many situations when an authentic text is required. Very often your writing should involve specialized analysis, connections with other relevant materials, and personal touch, i.e. individual style. Not mentioning the fact that AI writes very correctly but quite generally: an experienced eye will definitely notice the discrepancy, which is not going to work for writing analytical reports, university papers, and convincing cover letters, tailored to a specific job position. Can we use AI for helping us out to write good texts in business and academia? Absolutely! But it should be used wisely, and go hand in hand with our own effort. Ask me how🤩
